Quarterback Conner Weigman Transfers to University of Houston

The former Texas A&M starter and top 2022 recruit will join the Cougars with two years of eligibility remaining.

  • Conner Weigman, a former five-star recruit and the No. 1 pocket passer in the 2022 class, announced his transfer to the University of Houston for the 2025 season.
  • Weigman played three seasons at Texas A&M, starting 13 games and throwing for 2,694 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions across 15 appearances.
  • Injuries, including a foot injury in 2023 and a shoulder sprain in 2024, limited his playing time and led to him losing the starting job this past season.
  • Houston struggled offensively in 2024, finishing 126th in passing, and recently hired new offensive coordinator Slade Nagle to revamp the attack.
  • Weigman, a Cypress, Texas native, expressed optimism about reaching his full potential at Houston, where he is expected to provide a significant boost to the team's quarterback position.
