- Qualcomm published full Snapdragon C specifications this week, describing an 8-core Kryo CPU (up to 3.0 GHz single, 2.0 GHz multi), an Adreno GPU at 900 MHz and a Hexagon NPU with no TOPS figure disclosed.
- The product pages say the chip supports up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x/LPDDR5/LPDDR5x on a single 32-bit channel, PCIe 3.0 or UFS storage, Wi‑Fi 6/6E and USB 3.1 ports, which limits memory bandwidth and may constrain heavy multitasking on Windows 11.
- Qualcomm’s benchmark slides claim big battery-mode advantages versus Intel’s N250 — up to 67% faster in Cinebench MT and as much as 2.1x better power efficiency in some workloads — but all published tests were run on battery power only.
- Several OEMs including Acer, ASUS, HP and Lenovo are listed as partners and a UK retailer listing for Acer’s Aspire Go 15 surfaced at a price well above $300, casting doubt on Qualcomm’s $300 target for retail devices.
- Independent plugged-in benchmarks, a disclosed NPU TOPS rating, and final OEM configurations and prices are still pending, and those facts will determine whether Snapdragon C can materially pressure Intel in the low-cost laptop market.
