Quaker Oats Issues Second Recall Over Salmonella Concerns
No illnesses or deaths reported, customers advised to dispose of affected products.
- Quaker Oats Company has issued a second recall following one in December over potential salmonella contamination in several of their products including granola bars, cereal bars, cereals, instant oatmeals, protein bars, and snack mixes.
- The products were sold in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan.
- No illnesses or deaths have been reported in relation to the recalled products.
- Customers who have any of the recalled products are advised to dispose of them and can contact Quaker Consumer Relations for reimbursement.
- Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause illness, with children under 5 and those with weakened immune systems being more prone to severe infections.
