Qatar Airways Named World’s Best Airline at Paris Air Show

A worldwide Skytrax poll found Qatar Airways scoring highest across in-flight service, comfort and airport handling.

Overview

  • Qatar Airways earned its ninth Skytrax World Airline Award following votes by 22.3 million passengers from over 100 countries surveyed between September 2024 and May 2025.
  • Singapore Airlines was ranked second and Cathay Pacific third among 325 airlines evaluated for in-flight service, cabin comfort and airport handling.
  • Emirates placed fourth and ANA secured the fifth spot, completing the top five at the awards presented June 17 at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.
  • AirAsia was declared the world’s best low-cost carrier for the year, while Eurowings, easyJet and Ryanair featured among other leading budget airlines.
  • Lufthansa climbed three places to 15th overall and received recognition as the world’s most family-friendly airline, with Swiss International Air Lines ranking 11th.
