• The terminal switch is expected to complicate transfers with American Airlines at Terminal 8, likely requiring travelers to use the AirTrain and clear security again.
• The New Terminal One is part of a broader JFK redevelopment, with initial facilities opening in 2026 and full buildout to about 23 gates and more than 2.3 million square feet by 2030.
