Qatar Airways Debuts Starlink Wi-Fi on Boeing 777 Flights

Qatar Airways has become the first airline to equip its Boeing 777s with Starlink, offering free high-speed internet to passengers.

Qatar Airways launched its first flight with Starlink Wi-Fi, providing download speeds up to 215 Mbps, significantly faster than traditional in-flight internet services.
The service is free for all passengers, allowing them to stream, game, and video call from 35,000 feet as they would on the ground.
Qatar Airways plans to equip 12 Boeing 777-300s with Starlink by the end of 2024 and expand to its entire Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleets by 2025.
Starlink's low Earth orbit satellites offer lower latency and higher bandwidth compared to traditional satellite internet, enhancing connectivity for in-flight users.
This move positions Qatar Airways as a leader in in-flight connectivity, challenging competitors with its superior service offering.
