Overview

  • Flight QF33 departed Perth on June 23 and was diverted mid-air over India before landing back in Perth after more than 15 hours in flight
  • There were 216 passengers and 14 crew aboard the PerthParis service, all of whom are being accommodated overnight in Western Australia
  • A separate Qantas PerthLondon flight was rerouted to Singapore after Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait sealed their skies
  • Return journeys from London and Paris, including flights QF10 and QF34, have been cancelled or will be rescheduled due to the disruptions
  • Qantas says it is closely monitoring airspace availability and will adjust routes or schedules as needed to maintain its non-stop European links
