Q-Tip Joins Broadway Musical 'Ali' as Music Producer and Co-Lyricist

- The musical is set to premiere in 2024 at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville, the hometown of Muhammad Ali, before moving to Broadway in 2025.
- Other members of the production team include lead producer Richard Willis, composer Teddy Abrams, director and author Clint Dyer, associate music producer Casey Benjamin, and music supervisor Sean Mayes.
- The musical 'Ali' will utilize a mix of spoken word, verse, classical music, poetry, rap and hip hop to tell the story of Muhammad Ali.
- This is not the first time that composer Teddy Abrams has explored the life of Muhammad Ali through music, having previously written a multimedia opera-rap-oratorio entitled 'The Greatest: Muhammad Ali' in 2017.
