Pushpa 2 Becomes Second-Highest Grossing Indian Film, Nears ₹1800 Crore Worldwide

The Allu Arjun-starrer continues its record-breaking run a month after release, despite controversies and competition from new films.

Pushpa 2: The Rule has grossed ₹1,799 crore worldwide in 29 days, making it the second-highest grossing Indian film after Dangal's ₹2,070 crore record.
The film, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has maintained strong box office momentum despite a 21% earnings drop in its fourth week.
Made on a budget of ₹400-500 crore, the 200-minute-long film has already set benchmarks, including becoming the fastest Indian movie to cross ₹1,700 crore globally.
The movie faced controversy following a stampede at its Hyderabad premiere, leading to the death of a woman and legal proceedings involving Allu Arjun, who has been granted interim bail until January 10.
A sequel titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage has been announced, while Pushpa 2 continues to attract audiences despite competition from other major holiday releases.
