Puppy Bowl XXI to Feature Record 142 Adoptable Dogs and Superman Sneak Peek

The annual event on February 9 will spotlight rescue animals, special needs dogs, and a preview of James Gunn's upcoming Superman film.

Puppy Bowl XXI will air on February 9 at 2 p.m. ET across Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and discovery+.
The event will showcase 142 adoptable puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and two countries, the largest lineup in its history.
Special segments will highlight 11 dogs with special needs, including a wheelchair-using American pit bull terrier and a blind and hearing-impaired Australian shepherd mix.
James Gunn will present a sneak preview of his upcoming Superman film, featuring Krypto the Superdog, during the broadcast.
The event aims to raise awareness for pet adoption and will include playful competitions, a Kitty Halftime Show, and the awarding of the 'Lombarky' trophy and other honors.
