Punxsutawney Phil's Pups Named Sunny and Shadow

The Groundhog Club announced the names on Mother's Day, but the pups will not replace their famous father.

The names were chosen from hundreds of public suggestions and revealed in a video announcement.
Sunny and Shadow, a girl and boy, were born to Phil and his mate Phyllis in March.
Despite their birth, Phil remains the only groundhog for the annual weather prediction ceremony.
The groundhog family resides in a climate-controlled burrow at the Punxsutawney Memorial Library.
Phil predicted an early spring this year after not seeing his shadow on Groundhog Day.
