Punjab’s Cross-Border Heroin Network Hit With 25.9 Kg Seizure as Delhi Police Step Up Gang Raids

Police say the networks rely on drone drops plus social-media direction from Pakistan-based handlers.

Overview

  • Sri Muktsar Sahib police reported a two-month source-led operation that netted 4 kg of heroin and two arrests, with further tracing of forward and backward linkages underway.
  • Delhi Police conducted raids at 58 locations across DelhiNCR, apprehending 36 suspects and arresting six, including gangster Neeraj Bawana’s father, and a follow-up overnight drive in the North-East district yielded five more arrests, firearms and Rs 18.7 lakh in cash.
