Punjab Sets Jan. 15 Launch for Universal ₹10 Lakh Per-Family Cashless Health Cover
Coverage pairs a private insurer for the first ₹1 lakh with the state health agency for larger claims.

- Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal will formally roll out the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna on January 15.
- Any resident with Aadhaar and a voter ID is eligible, targeting universal coverage across roughly 65 lakh families.
- Care will be cashless at 824 empanelled hospitals, including 212 public facilities, eight central hospitals and over 600 private hospitals.
- The package list includes about 2,200 procedures spanning secondary and tertiary care.
- Enrollment will run through more than 9,000 camps and Common Service Centres with MMSY health cards and a helpline, with initial camps in Taran Taran and Barnala and most cards expected within three to four months.
