Overview
- Major PDP works are expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.
- Procurement has advanced with 50 tenders floated and 10 finalized, enabling the immediate rollout of 10 projects valued at roughly Rs53–53.5 billion.
- Phase I opens in Burewala, Khanewal, Lalamusa, Mailsi, Sillanwali, Vehari, Attock, Layyah, Alipur and Jaranwala before expanding to 43 additional cities.
- Targets include 3,497 km of new sewerage lines, 181 km of drainage, 56 new disposal stations and 61 upgrades, raising total handling capacity to 2,114 cusecs.
- Separately, the beautification plan spans 132 schemes costing PKR 16.9 billion with 97 work orders issued and 88 underway, with weekly dashboard monitoring, Assistant Commissioner accountability and drainage fixes prioritized before the monsoon.
