Ram Saroop, a 33-year-old from Punjab, was arrested after confessing to killing 11 men across three districts over 18 months.
The victims were primarily men he offered rides to, often engaging in sexual acts with them before robbing and killing them during altercations.
Police confirmed five of the murders, with investigations ongoing to verify the remaining six cases.
Saroop used methods including strangulation with cloth and blunt force trauma, and in one case wrote 'Dhokebaaz' (cheater) on a victim's back.
The accused, abandoned by his family due to his homosexuality, admitted to committing the crimes under the influence of drugs and expressed remorse afterward.
