• Education minister Harjot Singh Bains said the government has proposed convening the special session on November 24 as part of state-led commemorations of the ninth Sikh Guru’s martyrdom anniversary.
• Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial has been identified as the likely venue, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to open the site on October 5 and review preparations with a religious panel.
