Overview

• Provincial leaders described an unusually prolonged flood across multiple districts, with Shujaabad inundated for over 20 days, some 39,546 acres affected and peak flows cited at about 1.75 million cusecs.
• Relief camps continue to distribute food, dry rations, potable water, tents and child milk packs as PDMA, Rescue 1122 and the armed forces report sustained rescue and support operations.
• The compensation package sets Rs1,000,000 for fully destroyed homes and for families of the deceased, and Rs500,000 for partially damaged homes and for the severely injured, with livestock losses also pledged to be covered.
