Punjab Police Foils Terror Plot with Arrests and IED Recovery
Two operatives linked to a Germany-based gangster were arrested with a 2.8 kg IED, thwarting plans tied to Pakistan's ISI.
- Punjab Police arrested Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh, key operatives of a terror module, in Fatehgarh Sahib district on April 13, 2025.
- A 2.8 kg improvised explosive device (IED) containing 1.6 kg of RDX and a remote control was recovered, intended for a targeted terror attack.
- The module is linked to Germany-based gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon, a close operative of the Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
- The operation disrupted plans allegedly orchestrated by Pakistan-based ISI to destabilize peace in Punjab.
- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to the capture of Gurpreet Singh.
