Overview
- Four operatives were arrested near the Dera Bassi–Ambala highway after they opened fire on AGTF and SAS Nagar police, with two suspects injured during the exchange.
- Seven .32-calibre pistols and 70 live cartridges were seized, and an FIR was registered at Dera Bassi under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
- Those held were identified as Harvinder Singh alias Bhola/Honey, Lakhwinder Singh, Mohammad Samir and Rohit Sharma, all from Rajpura in Patiala, with prior criminal records.
- Haryana STF arrested Amar Singh alias Muchh in Karnal and, following his disclosure, recovered and safely defused two hand grenades and an IED near NH-44; a Glock pistol was also seized.
