Overview

• Counter Intelligence Amritsar arrested Gurjant Singh and Gurvel Singh of Tarn Taran and recovered 2.5 kg of heroin and five pistols with magazines.
• Officers intercepted their car on the Amritsar–Bhikhiwind Road after inputs about drone-delivered consignments near Dholan and Chhina Bidhi Chand in Tarn Taran.
• Police say the arms were intended for gangsters and that a delivery was planned for Panjwar village.
• An FIR was registered in Amritsar and the vehicle used to move the consignment was impounded.
• In a separate Muktsar–Ferozepur action a day earlier, police arrested Ravi Singh and an associate and seized two 9 mm pistols with cartridges.
