Punjab Police Arrest Six Kaushal Gang Members, Foil Targeted Killing Plot

Punjab Police arrested six members of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang, including two key shooters, in an intelligence-led operation in Amritsar.
The suspects were involved in the murders of kabaddi players Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambian in 2022 and Sukhmeet Singh in 2021.
Authorities recovered six foreign-made pistols and 40 rounds of ammunition from the arrested individuals.
The gang was also linked to a September 2024 extortion attempt and shooting at a Rajasthan hotel, demanding ₹5 crore.
The arrested individuals, who evaded capture for three years, are part of an organized criminal network active across Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
