  • Counter Intelligence earlier intercepted an operative in Tarn Taran with five pistols, with police attributing the supply chain to a Pakistan-based handler.
  • BSF reported multiple counter-drone operations across the Punjab border sectors, including a haul of about 6.6 kg of heroin near Daoke and separate recovery of a pistol with rounds in Ferozepur.
  • One account attributed to the BSF said troops also seized 429 grams of opium and a drone carrying pistol parts during coordinated searches.
  • Separate from the border actions, Bathinda police recovered 1.5 kg of heroin from two residents, and Uttarakhand STF arrested Mohammad Asim with firearms in a case tied to earlier interstate trafficking.
