• Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif unveiled the Hi‑Tech Farm Mechanisation Financing Programme, opening a live online portal for submissions.
• Farmers, service providers and agri-companies are eligible to seek financing for 12 categories of modern equipment.
• Covered machinery includes combine harvesters, rice and multi‑crop planters, nursery machines, straw balers, silage harvesters, dryers, orchard pruners, air‑blast sprayers, central pivot irrigation systems and high‑power tractors.
• The Agriculture Department says the programme has supplier participation from 27 Chinese firms, 10 from Turkey and additional companies from Italy, Japan, the United States, Brazil, Spain and Belarus.
