• Chandigarh Police registered an FIR at Sector 3 on the complaint of advocate Palak Dev, citing BNS provisions including attempt to murder, causing hurt, wrongful restraint and criminal intimidation against Ravneet Kaur and Simranjit Singh Blassi.
• Simranjit Singh Blassi, seen on video brandishing a sword, was arrested and placed in one-day police remand for recovery of the weapon, police and court records show.
• Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana suspended the licences of Kaur and Blassi, barring them from appearing in any forum pending disciplinary proceedings.
