- DGP Gaurav Yadav appeared before the Election Commission in New Delhi on November 25 to explain police actions during the Model Code of Conduct period for the November 11 bypoll.
- The commission has taken serious note of FIRs registered in a coordinated manner across Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Moga and Batala, calling them potentially motivated attempts to intimidate opposition workers.
