Overview

• The manual slip system will be replaced by a “One App, One System” electronic toll model across 38 provincial plazas following a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
• Five major road projects were cleared for delivery under public–private partnerships, with private firms tasked with maintenance and upkeep.
• A provincial briefing reported Rs40 billion in procurement savings achieved via e-tendering.
• The Local Roads Programme of 2,341 projects spanning 5,251 km is slated to start in December 2025 with completion targeted by June 2026, as are the Multan–Vehari “dust-free” road and the Quaid-e-Azam Interchange–Wagah Tourism Corridor.
