Punjab and Delhi Raids Net Kingpin, 7.8 Kg Heroin, Crystal Meth and Weapons

Investigators now focus on tracing absconding suppliers.

Ferozepur police have registered four FIRs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

  • Ferozepur police registered four NDPS cases, arresting 10 suspects and seizing 7.8 kg of heroin along with firearms, vehicles and other evidence.
  • The largest Ferozepur haul recovered 5.225 kg hidden in a Mahindra pickup, while another operation near Hussainiwala yielded 1.542 kg and a third case added 1.1 kg plus a Glock pistol.
  • In Delhi, Outer North police arrested five peddlers including alleged kingpin Anil, recovering heroin valued at about Rs 6.25 crore and opening an asset probe into properties worth at least Rs 10 crore.
  • The Delhi case began with August 29 and September 1 arrests that led to Anil’s September 8 capture in Tilak Nagar with 1.992 kg of heroin.
  • In Ludhiana district, Khanna and Doraha teams arrested four traffickers, seized 500 grams of crystal meth and 165 grams of heroin, and formed special teams to hunt Ferozepur supplier Mohit.
