• Police identified the suspect as Baljinder Singh, alias Rainch, a resident of Mahi Nangal in Bathinda with a prior NDPS case.
• AGTF teams arrested him under a flyover on the Malout–Muktsar Road and recovered five .32-bore pistols with 10 cartridges.
• FIR No. 84 dated September 7, 2025 was registered at Police Station Sadar Malout under Sections 25 and 25(7)(8) of the Arms Act.
• Officials said preliminary findings suggest the weapons were procured on instructions from foreign-based gangster Goldy Brar through associate Malkit Singh, who is lodged in Kapurthala Jail.
