Punjab AGTF Arrests Two After Highway Gunfight, Foils Alleged Goldy Dhillon Plot

Investigators frame the arrests as part of a wider crackdown on foreign-directed gang networks.

The Punjab anti-gangster task force (AGTF), in a joint operation with the Batala Police, has nabbed a member of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang and recovered two sophisticated pistols from his possession, said director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Wednesday.

  • In a separate AGTF–Batala Police action, officers arrested alleged Jaggu Bhagwanpuria aide Gurlove Singh and seized two pistols, as officials also reiterated claims tying Dhillon to an October killing in Abbotsford, Canada.
