Overview

  • Verification of 27 electronic voting machines in Hadapsar constituency was suspended after NCP(SP) candidate Prashant Jagtap cited a pending Bombay High Court petition
  • On July 25, officials conducted burnt memory checks and displayed vote tallies from two Khadakwasla machines at the Bhosari strong room
  • Sachin Dodke halted the verification process when his application to count VVPAT slips was refused and he declined to erase EVM data for a mock poll
  • Election officer Yashwant Mane said random VVPAT slip checks had been done during vote counting and that the mock poll step could not proceed without clearing existing data
  • Dodke has filed a written objection and plans to challenge the refusal in court to secure a full VVPAT slip count against EVM results
