• On Friday, Pune police simulated a dummy bomb blast on Fergusson College Road as part of an emergency-response drill.

• A police release said related drills were held at MG Road around 2.30 pm, at R&DE in Vishrantwadi at 4 pm for a hostage scenario, and at Pune airport for a mock airplane hijack.
• DCP (Special Branch) Sandip Bhajibhakare confirmed the FC Road drill fell under Deccan police station and asked residents to follow instructions and avoid rumours.
