Overview

• An FIR was registered at Vishrambaug police station against at least 35 members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena’s students’ wing.
• Police say MNVS members entered the ABVP office in Sadashiv Peth, pasted their posters, vandalised the premises and locked it from outside.
• The incident followed the appearance of posters near Nowrosjee Wadia College calling for a boycott of MNVS, NSUI and ASA that mentioned ABVP.
• ABVP denied authoring the posters, filed a complaint, and its workers protested outside the Perugate Police chowki demanding action.
• MNVS leaders said Amit Thackeray would meet Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar over the case, as police reported no injuries and continued the probe.
