Overview
- PMC’s draft sets 41 wards electing 165 corporators, with 40 four-member wards and one five-member ward at Ambegaon Katraj (Ward 38).
- PCMC proposes 32 wards with four corporators each, totaling 128 seats, and has published ward maps across its offices and website.
- Citizens can submit objections to PMC’s draft from August 22 to September 3 and until 3 pm on September 4, with submissions accepted at designated civic offices.
- PCMC will accept objections through September 4, hold hearings from September 5–12, and send its final draft to the Urban Development Department between September 13–15, with State Election Commission approval scheduled October 3–6.
- Both drafts were prepared using 2011 census population data and mapping via satellite/Google Earth with field verification, and PCMC’s 128 seats include reservations of 64 for women, 20 SC, 3 ST, 35 OBC and 70 General.
