Overview
- Rishikesh Londhe, out on bail from a 2023 MCOCA case, was arrested at around 2 am on July 18 in connection with two molestation FIRs filed in March and May
- At Sahkar Nagar police station, he pepper-sprayed four to five officers, shattered windows and issued death threats before being restrained
- Following the station disturbance he was taken to Sassoon Hospital for medical checks, during which his brother Jitendra escaped police custody
- Jitendra Londhe was recaptured that evening in the Parvati Darshan area and both brothers now face fresh offences including disturbing government duty and assaulting officers
- Both siblings remain in custody with Rishikesh under hospital observation as Pune Police continue their active investigation into the custody-breach episode
