Overview

  • Inspections of EVMs from the Hadapsar constituency are set to run from July 25 to August 2, 2025.
  • Four of the six initial verification requests in Pune were sidelined by court petitions, leaving two candidate applications.
  • Under Election Commission of India guidelines, machines will be retrieved from secure storage and vote counts displayed via the control unit’s result button.
  • Deputy district election officer Minal Kalskar confirmed that no VVPAT paper slips will be recounted in the scheduled process.
  • Candidates must apply for EVM and VVPAT inspections within seven days of results, but full paper trail counts are limited by ECI standard operating procedures to balance transparency and feasibility.
