Overview

• The third edition will take place from December 13 to 21 at Fergusson College in Pune under the ‘Joy of Reading’ banner.
• The National Book Trust is organizing the festival in partnership with the Union Ministry of Education, Pune Municipal Corporation and Savitribai Phule Pune University.
• Attendees can download 3,000 free e-books and visit a mobile ‘book bus’ touring nearby rural communities with on-site scanning stations.
• A ₹1 lakh prize fund will honor outstanding media coverage and photography, while a dedicated committee will monitor vendors to uphold copyright norms.
• Success in Pune is already spawning plans for similar book festivals in Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar next year.
