The film was shot at Pulp’s sold-out June 2025 shows at London’s O2 and runs about 90 minutes, interweaving live songs with archival footage and behind-the-scenes material.
Director Garth Jennings, who worked on Pulp’s tour visuals after reengaging with the band in 2022, mined personal archives and BBC material to shape the film’s found-footage aesthetic.
A stripped-back performance of “Something Changed” and multiple archival shots of late bassist Steve Mackey are presented as a clear tribute to his role in the band.
Critics have framed the movie as a joyous ‘victory lap’ for Pulp that showcases new tracks from More alongside classic hits and highlights Jarvis Cocker’s narrating presence.
MUBI began one-night theatrical previews in the UK and Ireland on Friday, September 18, followed by Canadian screenings on September 23 and US previews on September 24, with exclusive streaming on MUBI starting September 25.
