Pulheim Office Fire Caused by Batteries Extinguished Quickly With No Injuries

Seventy firefighters from neighboring departments stepped in to support Pulheim crews in containing a first-floor battery blaze

  • Responders deployed 13 vehicles and ventilated the smoke-filled building for more than two hours to clear hazardous fumes.
  • Firefighters immersed burnt battery remnants in a water bath to prevent reignition and had their gear decontaminated by the Pulheim Hygiene Group.
  • While Pulheim crews fought the blaze, the Elsdorf-Heppendorf department temporarily manned the local station to ensure city protection.
