Pueblo Police Search for Cassandra Lake After Traffic-Stop Shooting

Overview

• Police identified the driver as 39-year-old Cassandra Lake, who remains at large and is believed to be injured.
• An officer attempted a traffic stop around 9 p.m. Sunday at E. Abriendo and Jones/Emerson avenues near I-25.
• Investigators say the driver turned toward the officer, ignored commands, and hit a marked cruiser and a parked car as the officer fired.
• The white Dodge Dart was later found under a tarp behind a burned residence in the 1800 block of E. Routt Avenue.
