Pueblo D60 Releases Final School Consolidation Plan, Seeks January Board Vote

Overview

• The rightsizing proposal would merge six schools into three anchor campuses and move D60 Online Middle School onto an in‑person site at Hyde Park, with Board approval requested in January 2026.
• In the East Quadrant, Bradford would merge into Park View, Bradford would become a full‑day preschool center, and the Bradford site would serve as a neighborhood community resource hub.
• In the Central Quadrant, Bessemer would merge with Columbian on the Columbian campus, Bessemer would operate as a community hub while retaining ESS and Child Find offices, and a full‑day preschool center would be added at Heritage.
• In the South Quadrant, Beulah Heights would merge into Highland Park, Highland Park would expand from STEM to STREAM, and Beulah Heights would convert into a professional development hub for staff.
• In the North Quadrant, Hyde Park would become a pre‑collegiate grades 6–8 campus hosting the relocated Online Middle School, the site would include a community hub, middle school boundaries would be realigned, and the district pledges transportation and expanded online options for student access.
