Overview
- The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive by a special flight at Tiruchi International Airport, travel by road to Pudukottai to inaugurate the new bus stand and attend a government function at the District Armed Reserve ground before returning by flight.
- Tiruchi City Police, Tiruchi Rural Police and Pudukottai district police have each drafted separate security schemes with the city force taking primary responsibility for airport security.
- Authorities have mobilised more than 4,000 police personnel drawn from local units and central, north and south zones to staff checkpoints, the function venue and the route along the Tiruchi–Pudukottai national highway.
- Anti-sabotage teams have been deployed and the district administration has prepared and spruced up the Armed Reserve ground for the public event and planned beneficiary welfare distributions.
- The scale and coordination of the operation follows standard protocol for high-profile visits and is likely to cause road restrictions and heightened security checks on the highway and around Pudukottai during the event.
