• Judge Pablo Adrián Rolón from TOC 5 was selected by public draw on July 15 to replace Judge Alejandro Lago on Tribunal Oral en lo Criminal N°7.
• The draw completes the three-judge panel alongside Roberto Gaig and Alberto Ortolani for the retrial of eight medical professionals accused over Maradona’s 2020 death.
• No date has yet been scheduled to restart the retrial after the court initially voided the first trial due to Judge Julieta Makintach’s conflict of interest.
• A separate jury trial for nurse Dahiana Gisela Madrid remains suspended pending the new tribunal’s ruling on whether the previous nullity extends to the parallel proceedings.
• The tribunal must now resolve key procedural questions before setting a timeline for the long-delayed homicide trial.
