PSOE Seeks Urgent Tribunal Audit of Vox-Linked Fundación Disenso Accounts

The push follows allegations by ex-Balearic spokesperson Idoia Ribas that regional funds were funneled to Vox before reaching Disenso.

Overview

  • The Socialist group filed a request on Friday for the Parliament’s Comisión Mixta to ask the Tribunal de Cuentas to conduct a special review of Disenso’s income and expenses from 2020 to 2025.
  • The petition asks auditors to determine the origin, nature, and destination of the foundation’s funds, assess their accounting and justification, and report any recommended corrective or sanctioning measures.
  • Vox leader and Disenso president Santiago Abascal rejected the accusations as false, said there are no court complaints or investigations, and indicated he does not plan to sue Ribas.
  • Official records from the Vox Baleares parliamentary group show €89,667.50 was transferred to Vox national in 2024, a practice Ribas claims preceded transfers to Disenso.
  • The Tribunal de Cuentas has recently fined Vox a total of about €1.095 million over donation irregularities, and prior reporting cited larger alleged transfers to Disenso, including a €2 million donation reported by unnamed sources and multi‑million claims by former official Macarena Olona.
