PSNI Hunt Masked Gang After Aughnacloy ATM Raid

Detectives have opened a witness appeal, liaising with Gardaí on cross-border lines of inquiry.

Overview

  • Police said a group of males in boiler suits and masks, carrying suspected firearms, targeted security staff at about 6.40am at a Caledon Road filling-station ATM.
  • The robbers forced staff into the ATM bunker and took cash boxes from both the security van and the machine.
  • The group left with a significant sum in a dark-coloured Audi Q7 that headed in the direction of Armagh.
  • Staff were not physically injured, with officers maintaining a scene and describing the inquiry as at an early stage.
  • PSNI appealed for witnesses, dash-cam or doorbell footage, or other information via 101 to Dungannon quoting 191 08/10/25 or anonymously through Crimestoppers, as Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew condemned the attack.
