PSL Sells Hyderabad, Sialkot Franchises for Record PKR 3.6bn, Expands to Eight Teams

The PCB will operate Multan Sultans this season ahead of a post‑tournament sale.

  • FKS Group won the Hyderabad franchise for PKR 1.75 billion and OZ Developers secured Sialkot for PKR 1.85 billion at a live auction in Islamabad.
  • The open auction featured a PKR 1.10 billion base for the first team and PKR 1.70 billion for the second, with minimum bid increments of PKR 10 million, and Wasim Akram served as auctioneer.
  • With the additions of Hyderabad and Sialkot, PSL Season 11 will feature eight teams for the first time, scheduled from March 26 to May 3, 2026.
  • PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the board will run Multan Sultans for PSL 11 and then re‑auction the franchise after the season.
  • Former Multan Sultans owner Ali Khan Tareen withdrew shortly before the auction, leaving nine qualified bidders from sectors including telecom, fintech, energy, real estate and tech.
