The abuse followed PSG's 3-1 victory over Brest, during which Mendes conceded a penalty that allowed Brest to take an early lead.
Mendes shared a screenshot of one of the racist messages he received on his Instagram account.
PSG released a statement condemning the racist insults and affirming their commitment to working with authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
The club reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards racism, antisemitism, and any form of discrimination.
