PS5 Beta Enables DualSense Multi-Device Pairing and Teases Power Saver Mode

Overview

  • Invited participants received emails on July 24 with instructions to join Sony’s PS5 system update beta in the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany and France.
  • DualSense controllers can now register up to four devices simultaneously, eliminating the need to re-pair when switching between platforms.
  • Players switch between connected devices by pressing the PS button and a corresponding face button, even when the controller is powered off.
