Providence Friars overcame a subpar shooting night, with a field goal percentage of 39.4%, to defeat Milwaukee Panthers 79-69.
Five Providence players scored in double figures, led by sophomore guard Jayden Pierre with 16 points. Other contributors included Garwey Dual (14 points), Devin Carter (13), Josh Oduro (13), and Bryce Hopkins (10).
Josh Oduro also had a game-high 12 rebounds, contributing to the Friars' dominance on the boards with 19 offensive rebounds in the game.
Despite a game-high 33 points and 10 rebounds from BJ Freeman, Milwaukee could not overcome a 13-point halftime deficit, managing to reduce it to only seven points.
Milwaukee struggled with their shooting, particularly from the 3-point line where they made only 3 of 17 attempts.
