  • Registration is free and runs on the Portal Único de Acesso on Wednesday, Aug. 26 and Thursday, Aug. 27, with candidates required to record a formal interest to join the waitlist.
  • Only applicants who were not pre‑selected in earlier calls or who lost a spot due to non‑formation of a class may sign up for the waitlist.
  • The Portal will publish the new waitlist on Sept. 1 and those who are called must deliver required documents to the private institution that offered the spot between Sept. 1 and Sept. 14.
  • Prouni awards full (100%) and partial (50%) scholarships under income and schooling rules: full grants require lower per‑person family income and eligible applicants include public‑school graduates, people with disabilities, and active public‑school teachers seeking licensure courses.
  • The call follows two 2026 selection rounds that together recorded more than 2.1 million registrations from over 1.1 million candidates and comes as Prouni marks 21 years and more than 3.7 million students helped, meaning many applicants must act quickly to secure a place.
