Overview

• A 49-year-old woman was shot around 8:45 a.m. inside 399 St. John’s Place in Prospect Heights and was hospitalized in stable condition at wYork-Presbyterian BrBrooklyn Methodist Hospital.
• Police say the suspected shooter is the victim’s downstairs neighbor; officers forced entry into a third-floor unit during a search but did not find him, and he remains at large with reports he may have fled via a rear fire escape.
• Detectives are examining whether a building noise dispute sparked the attack, and witnesses described the suspect as about 5-foot-10, 155 pounds, wearing a navy shirt and navy pants.
• In the Bronx, four separate daytime shootings between about 8:10 a.m. and 3:31 p.m. left two men dead in incidents on Anthony Avenue and Croes Avenue, with additional victims wounded in West Farms and Belmont.
• The NYPD released surveillance video of the Anthony Avenue suspect and provided clothing descriptions for other still-sought individuals, and investigators are asking the public to submit tips to Crime Stoppers.
